Last Monday, November 19th, 2018, he asked!! HOORAY!!! It was perfect because we were alone and it was TOTALLY unexpected. Yes, yes, he did get down on one knee and after he asked he had to remind me to answer him because I just couldn’t believe it! It still makes me smile thinking about it and it’s been 10 days. Double-digit days I’ve been engaged 🙂 I hope it feels like this for a long, long time. I still catch myself getting lost while gazing at my BEAUTIFUL ring! The first night after he asked, I was up at 4am and just laid in bed staring at the shiny thing.

He had timed the engagement so that I would be able to tell my family in Las Vegas in person which was SO fun! I was nervous because sharing news of an engagement is new territory for me but how incredible that EVERYONE is so excited for us. It’s such a wonderful feeling to not only love this man but have him love me back AND have my family’s support.

We are looking forward to planning a 2019 wedding, I’m sure there will be posts about it. For now, I’ll choose to focus on the happiness of the engagement not all the decisions I’ll have to make in the next 6-12 months. EEK!
