We went to the beach today. It. Was. Awesome!! I (we maybe?) Was super happy to be out of a big city. We just laid on beach chairs and fried to a crisp… Ok, that part is not so great but all else trumps a little sun pain. Mom, where’s the aloe vera!?

We took a 9€ train ride about an hour out and spent the day at a beautiful beach on the Mediterranean. We were home (Rome) for dinner. Awesome!! The train ride out to the beach was interesting. We were late getting to the station and two trains left at 10:12 today so we took the one we Thought it was… It was completely packed. Every seat was occupied and people were standing in the rows between seats. We ended up in the non- A/C area between the train cars, still stuffed shoulder to shoulder with Italians But we chose the correct train and made it by 11am 😊👍
