Day 2 of Venice was the water taxi day. We took a tour of the Grand Canal and saw all the palaces that flourished next to the river. Now, most are hotels or museums.
We took the taxi across the lagoon to Murano, the glass making island. There were beautiful pieces but we did not bring any home π¦
Lunch was a Ginormous pizza, which we didn’t get close to finishing π Then shopping and more sight seeing.
If you see the picture of Nick’s swollen finger, it’s from me opening a tiny bottle of prosecco in San Marco Square. We are mostly sure it’s legal to drink anywhere on the street or if not legal, it’s not strictly-enforced. So, I was trying to be incognito opening this tiny explosive bottle of bubbles and Nick was covering for me and he got pegged πππ. We still don’t talk about it but his finger seems normal sized now. π
Saturday afternoon here. We are in Florence, with wifi again. Yay!!! Cinque Terre pictures coming soon. So. Beautiful!

is Nick having the time of his life? π

Yikes!! Both of those temperatures sound awful for June!! We are high-80s(?) here and humid and it’s tough in the afternoons.
