From less than 2 pounds to 2 years old, she’s completely stolen our hearts. I really believed that I would be a more levelheaded parent than I turned out to be. Wrong. I’m totally smitten and act like a complete goober around her. She gets basically whatever she wants. Her fanged smile and breathy giggle are the best parts of my day. She’s recently started wearing a “fountain” on her head and she’s quite proud. Adorable. She asks for her necklace every morning. Her favorite and most consistent word to say is tractor. She’s got a wonderful wobbly walk and when she’s not falling it’s rather impressive. She eats like a champ and is weighing in around 21 lbs. I’m not particularly proud but she can sit through the entire movie of Encanto – laser focus on Mirabel. She wakes up every morning and wants to see Beau Beau. He mostly ignores her or rolls on top of her but she keeps trying.
Today was a wonderful day. She woke at exactly midnight for her nightly call for water, then up for the day early at 6:30am. Let’s get this birthday started!! We walked around the wash and saw lots of bunnies. After nap, we met the Wittigs and Morenos for a couple hours at the Children’s Museum then Hokkaido Teppanyaki – it was perfectly fun and delicious. Quinn smiled alllll afternoon. I think she gets it. We all adore her. Lucky Quinn. Lucky us.
Quinn, Happy Birthday honey. We love you.
